Ventura County Resource Conservation District
The Ventura County Resource Conservation District [VCRCD] is a special district of the state and is the lead agency for the VCWMA. The VCRCD provides assistance to help both rural and urban communities to conserve, protect, and restore natural resources.

Most of the plants used in gardens and landscaping do not invade or harm wildland areas. But a few vigorous species can - and do - escape from cultivation into open landscapes and cause a variety of ecological problems. They crowd out native plants, insects and animals, and can lead to increased flooding, fire and crop losses.
A few simple steps can prevent invasions before they start. We can be an environmentally responsible community - one that supports horticultural businesses and beautiful gardens!

California Invasive Plant Council
Cal-IPC's mission is to protect California wildlands from invasive plants through restoration, research and education. We work closely with agencies, industry and other nonprofit organizations to support research, restoration work, and public education.
CDFA's Noxious Weed Information Project
The Noxious Weed Information Project (NWIP) is a part of Integrated Pest Control, a branch of Plant Health and Pest Prevention Services which is a division of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Current activities include collecting and processing data on current weed management projects that are focused primarily on A-rated weeds. NWIP provides maps and other information for CDFA, biologists and the general public.
TNC's Global Invasive Species Initiative
The Global Invasive Species Initiative is The Nature Conservancy's response to abating the damage caused to native biodiversity by the human-facilitated introduction of non-native, harmful invasive species.
